First of all, there are three types of flat panel detector materials, cesium iodide, amorphous selenium type and CCD type. Below, we will introduce them respectively:
Cesium iodide. General principle: First convert X-rays into visible light through fluorescent medium materials, then convert visible light signals into electrical signals through photosensitive elements, and finally convert analog electrical signals into digital signals through A/D.
Amorphous selenium form. General principle: Photoconductive semiconductors convert received X-ray photons directly into electrical charges, which are then read out and digitized through an array of thin-film transistors.
CCD type general principle: The enhanced screen is used as the X-ray interactive medium, and a CCD is added to digitize the X-ray image.
