Maintenance Methods to Extend the Service Life of Mobile X-ray Machine

1. Power Usage Specifications

Use an independent and stable power socket exclusively for the mobile X-ray machine. Do not share the power strip with electric stoves, heaters or other high-power equipment, so as to prevent voltage fluctuation from burning out the high-voltage board and X-ray tube.
Frequent power on and off is strictly prohibited. Do not cut off the power immediately after shooting; keep the machine on standby for 1 to 2 minutes before shutdown. The interval between restart operations shall be at least 3 minutes.
For battery-powered mobile X-ray machines: Do not drain the battery completely until automatic shutdown. Charge the machine timely when only one battery bar remains, to prevent premature battery aging and damage to the high-voltage inverter.
If the machine is not in use for a long time, recharge it once a month to avoid battery deep discharge and permanent scrappage.

2. Radiography Operation Guidelines

Avoid continuous and frequent exposure. Do not take shots continuously every second. Reserve sufficient heat dissipation time for the X-ray tube to prevent overheating protection and accelerated component aging.
Set KV and MA parameters reasonably. Do not operate the machine under long-term overloaded and high-parameter shooting mode. Long-term full-load operation will halve the service life of the X-ray tube.
Keep the machine stable during exposure. Do not push, pull or shake the device randomly, which may cause internal breakage of high-voltage cables and poor contact failure.

3. Daily Cleaning and Dust Prevention

Clean dust on the machine body, cooling fan and chassis filter screen every month. Dust accumulation will lead to poor heat dissipation, main board short circuit and overheat shutdown failure.
Keep the machine room dry and well-ventilated. Avoid humid environment and direct blowing on rainy days, as moisture will easily cause high-voltage electric leakage and circuit board corrosion.
Wipe the surface of the flat panel detector gently. Do not flush directly with water to prevent water ingress and damage to the imaging panel.

4. Mechanical Component Maintenance

Regularly check the lifting, tilting and pulley parts of the machine frame. Do not forcefully bend or press the mechanical structure to avoid deformation of limit switches and mechanical arms.
Push the machine slowly during movement. Avoid fierce collision with door sills and steps, which may loosen internal circuits and cause solder joint desoldering due to vibration.
Do not press randomly or collide the emergency stop button, door interlock and travel switch, to prevent frequent protective shutdown triggered by accidental damage.

5. Operating Environment Prohibitions

Keep the mobile X-ray machine away from high temperature, humidity, lampblack and corrosive gas environments.
Avoid direct sunlight exposure in summer and low-temperature freezing in winter. Large temperature difference will easily cause faults of the main board and flat panel detector.

6. Routine Daily Maintenance

Power off the machine and cover it with a dust-proof cover after work every day.
Stop using the machine immediately once errors, abnormal noise or peculiar smell occur. Do not operate the device with potential faults, otherwise minor problems will evolve into severe damage of core components.
Arrange professional inspection and maintenance once a year, including circuit inspection, high-voltage performance test, internal dust cleaning and parameter calibration, to eliminate potential hidden troubles in advance.
