Operation Instructions
-
Press the 2nd gear of the hand switch to start exposure and emit rays immediately. If the ready light does not turn on at this time, it indicates a malfunction in the anode target surface speed or filament heating circuit, and an error code will be displayed. In this case, pressing the 2nd gear (or not) has no effect.
-
Releasing the hand brake during exposure will cause premature termination of exposure (insufficient mAs). Therefore, it is required to hold down the hand brake until the exposure ends automatically.
-
To prevent unnecessary idling of the anode target surface, unnecessary filament brightening, and subsequent bulb wear (common in modern generators), if you press the 1st gear of the hand switch and the ready light turns on but do not press the 2nd gear for a long time (usually more than 5-7 seconds), the generator will report an error code (see the generator manual for specific error codes). In this case, release the hand brake immediately and try again later.
Lifespan of X-Ray Exposure Hand Switch
The electrical service life of the exposure hand brake can reach 400,000 times, and the mechanical service life can reach 200,000 times, ensuring a long service life.
