Chest Rack: Definition, Usage Notes & Supplier

What is a Chest Rack?

A chest X-ray frame (chest rack) is an auxiliary radiography device compatible with medical X-ray machines. Featuring vertical adjustability, it works with various X-ray machines to perform X-ray examinations on multiple human body parts, including the chest, head, abdomen, and pelvis.

Usage Notes for Chest Rack

During Installation

Place the device on a flat, hard surface 180cm away from the tube, ensuring the vertical center of the film cassette aligns with the tube center. Use an electric hammer to install four M8 expansion screws and tighten them securely. After correct adjustment, the device is ready for radiography.
Important Reminders: Maintain precise alignment between the vertical center of the film cassette and the tube to avoid uneven light distribution (one side bright, one side dark); ensure the convergence distance is approximately 180cm to guarantee image clarity.

During Usage

  1. Hold the film carriage handle, pull out the carriage from the film box, insert the optional film cassette (or IP board, DR detector) into the movable film clamp, and secure it.
  2. Push the film carriage back into the box and lock it in place.
  3. Loosen the locking handle, adjust the carriage height according to the radiography position to match the required film box height, then lock the handle again to start radiography.

After Usage

Pull out the film carriage, remove the film cassette (or IP board, DR detector) from the film clamp, and push the carriage back into the film box.
Important Reminder: When removing the film cassette (or IP board, DR detector), lower the movable film clamp slowly to avoid damage to the clamp and slider due to excessive force.
