Artifacts in DR Image Acquisition

The detector is a core and indispensable component of DR (Digital Radiography) equipment. Once the detector malfunctions or becomes unstable, the compromised image quality will directly impact doctors’ ability to diagnose based on radiographs.

When image artifacts—such as linear artifacts, grid artifacts, or any other image anomalies that hinder diagnosis—occur during patient examinations, first rule out external factors related to the equipment (e.g., metal objects in the patient’s clothing) before proceeding with detector calibration.
